Volume II — Pitampura

Wooden flooring in Pitampura — laminate, engineered, SPC, vinyl.

Every floor we lay starts with a moisture meter on the screed. We use a 2 mm IXPE underlay as the baseline — never the 1 mm stuff — because Delhi humidity and the dust of April are unforgiving on cheap foam.

Chapter — Pitampura

What goes underfoot needs to last a Delhi summer.

Pitampura DDA flats and builder floors are usually being re-floored in one of two scenarios: a tenant change-over (laminate over the old marble, quick and reversible) or a deep renovation (engineered oak across the living areas, SPC in wet zones). The right pick depends on traffic, light, and the family's tolerance for "real wood that needs respect."

We do not stock cheap laminates rated below AC4. They look fine for a year and start showing scratches by the second monsoon. The catalogue we keep on hand starts at AC4 commercial-grade and runs up through SPC click-lock and engineered European oak.

Why Pitampura buyers choose Siddhi for flooring

The moisture meter is the first thing out of the bag.

We have been laying floors in Pitampura since 2014, out of the same Sukhlal Market shop. Most of our calls come from the NP and NS blocks, the Saraswati Vihar pockets, and the builder floors going up around Madhuban Chowk and the Pitampura Metro corridor. The buildings vary, but the underlying physics of a wooden floor in Delhi does not.

A wooden floor lives or dies on three things: the substrate, the underlay, and the click. Get the substrate wrong — too much residual moisture, a chalky screed, an undulation more than 3 mm over 2 metres — and the plank either swells, cups, or telegraphs every dip. We measure the screed on every site visit before we quote anything. If the reading is high, we say so, and we recommend the right vapour barrier before fitting.

The flooring categories we keep on hand for Pitampura

  • Laminate, AC4 and above — the workhorse. Hard-wearing, photographs reasonably as wood. Best for rental refreshes and high-traffic family flats.
  • SPC click-lock — Stone Plastic Composite. Waterproof, dimensionally stable. Excellent for kitchens, washrooms-adjacent rooms and any flat where the cooler runs five months of the year.
  • Engineered oak — three-layer construction with a real oak veneer top. The closest you get to a solid wood floor without the maintenance penalty. Best in climate-controlled drawing rooms.
  • Vinyl planks — quiet underfoot, gentle on a child's fall, anti-slip variants for clinics and play schools.

What the fitting visit looks like

We arrive with the moisture meter, a 2 m straight edge, and a vacuum. We measure, we level (mostly minor sanding of high points), we lay the IXPE underlay, and we click. A typical 3 BHK Pitampura flat is fully laid in two to three days, including skirting, threshold trims and finishing. We carry away every offcut and the dust we make.

For installs in Rohini, Shalimar Bagh, Saraswati Vihar and Ashok Vihar, the workflow is identical and the visit is free. Beyond 15 km from Pitampura — Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad — we charge a small site-visit fee that is fully refunded against any order.

Wooden Flooring · Pitampura · FAQ

Asked often. Answered honestly.

Which kind of wooden flooring lasts longest in Pitampura?

For most Pitampura homes we recommend SPC click-lock or AC4-rated laminate. Both shrug off the city's humidity swing and the dust that arrives every April. Engineered oak is the premium option if the room is climate-controlled and the budget allows for it.

Do you handle the moisture check before fitting?

Yes — every site visit starts with a moisture meter on the existing screed. If the slab reads above the safe threshold for the chosen plank, we recommend a wait or a vapour barrier. We do not skip this step.

Can wooden flooring be fitted over existing marble or tile?

Yes, in most cases. The existing surface needs to be flat, sound and dust-free. We use a 2 mm IXPE foam underlay as the baseline — it dampens sound, evens minor undulations, and protects the back of the plank. We never fit over a powdery or cracked screed without addressing the substrate first.

How long does wooden flooring installation take?

From order to fitting, lead time is 4 to 10 days depending on the plank stock. The fitting itself takes one to three days for a typical 3 BHK Pitampura flat, including moulding and threshold trim.

What warranty do you provide on flooring?

Twelve months on workmanship from Siddhi Decorators. Manufacturer warranty on the plank itself depends on the brand and grade — typically 10 to 25 years on AC4 laminate and SPC, longer on engineered oak.
