Volume VI — Pitampura

Artificial grass for Pitampura balconies, lawns and terraces.

A green floor that survives without a gardener. UV-stable polyethylene pile, perforated drainage backing, fitted with edge trims and a foam underlay so it sits flat on tile, marble or screed.

Chapter — Pitampura

A balcony that looks like a garden, with no garden hours.

Most of our artificial-grass work in Pitampura is on the small balconies that overhang the back lanes of the NP and PP blocks — 60 to 100 square feet of west-facing concrete that nobody uses because it is hot, hard and grey. A 25 mm domestic pile, edged with a black PVC trim and a corner of pebbles, turns those balconies into actual rooms.

For ground-floor flats and the builder floors with rear lawns, we lay 35 mm garden-grade pile over a foam-and-sand substrate. Heavier traffic, longer wear. For families with children and dogs, the 45 mm play-pile is softer underfoot and more forgiving when somebody falls on it.

Why Pitampura buyers choose Siddhi for grass

The cheap grass is the most expensive grass.

Artificial grass is sold across north Delhi at a wide range of prices, and the cheap end of the market is genuinely false economy. A non-UV-stable pile fitted on a south-facing Pitampura balcony will be brittle, faded and shedding bristles within 18 months. The imported UV-stabilised polyethylene we keep on hand has held colour and texture on terraces in the colony for five years and counting.

The other failure mode is drainage. Cheap grass has a sealed backing that traps water on the substrate beneath it. After two monsoons, the substrate stains, smells and grows algae at the edges. Every grass we lay has perforated drainage backing, pitched towards the existing balcony or terrace drain, with no exception.

The grass categories we keep on hand

  • 25 mm domestic pile — the balcony workhorse. Soft enough for bare feet, cheap enough to redo every five to seven years.
  • 35 mm garden-grade — for ground-floor lawns, terrace gardens and weekend-house pockets. Denser pile, longer wear.
  • 45 mm play-pile — for kids' play areas and pet-friendly homes. Softer landing, deeper bristles, harder to flatten.
  • Putting-green pile — short, dense, level. For roof-top putting practice and small office demonstration corners.
  • Edge accessories — black PVC trim, pebbles, stepping-stone tiles, planter risers. Most of the design comes from these.

What the install visit looks like

We arrive with a tape, a sample piece, a knife and the chosen roll. Substrate prep is the first step: a quick sweep, a check for puddling, and a foam underlay rolled out and trimmed. The grass is then laid, butted, joined with seam tape if needed, and held in place with edge trims and adhesive at the perimeter. A 100 sq ft balcony is fitted in a single afternoon.

Outside Pitampura, we fit grass across Rohini, Shalimar Bagh, Ashok Vihar, Saraswati Vihar, Punjabi Bagh, Paschim Vihar, Model Town, Greater Kailash and Defence Colony. NCR coverage extends to Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad — particularly the high-rise balconies of Sushant Lok and the Sector 50 / Sector 76 belts. Travel beyond 15 km from Pitampura attracts a small visit charge that is fully refunded against any order.

Artificial Grass · Pitampura · FAQ

Asked often. Answered honestly.

Will artificial grass survive a Pitampura summer?

Yes, if you pick a UV-stabilised pile. The cheap variants fade and turn brittle within two summers; the imported UV-stable polyethylene grass we keep on hand holds colour for five to seven years even on a fully south-facing terrace. We recommend the better grade for any open balcony in Delhi.

Does the grass drain in monsoon?

Yes. The backing has perforations every few centimetres so rainwater drains through to the floor below. We pitch the substrate slightly toward the existing balcony drain to keep water moving. Properly fitted grass should never pool.

Can it be fitted on tile or marble?

Yes. The grass is laid over a thin foam underlay and held in place with edge trims and double-sided tape on small areas, or with a polymer adhesive for larger lawns and terraces. The existing tile or marble is undamaged and can be restored if you ever remove the grass.

How long does the install take?

A typical Pitampura balcony of 60 to 100 square feet is fitted in a single visit, between two and four hours. Lead time from order is 1 to 3 days. Larger lawns and terraces take a day or two.

What is the warranty?

Twelve months on workmanship from Siddhi Decorators. The grass itself carries a manufacturer warranty against fading and shedding — typically five years on the UV-stable imports we recommend.
